Top 5 Business Reads of My Week

Originally posted: February 10, 2013 on TrishMcFarlane.com

It’s a stormy Sunday morning here in St. Louis and I’m taking advantage of catching up on some reading.

I still find Google Reader to be my favorite way to collect stories and articles that I want to read.  There must be something in the air in the last week because today was an exceptionally good reading day from a content standpoint.

My 5 Favorites of the week

  1. The Six Levels of Likeability by Kevin Grossman of Reach-West.  Nice piece about how being likeable does not mean people will always agree with you.
  2. Same Major, Less Compensation For Recent Female Grads by Karla Porter.  This is a frank look at pay inequity.
  3. A Profile Picture Speaks A Thousand Words by Graham Salisbury.  I love this post because it helps you pick apart what someone’s profile picture can really mean.
  4. Health Care Reform: Upping the Ante On Wellness Programs and What It Means For Employee Benefit Communication by Liz Rowell writing for Benz Communications
  5. What Do We Tweet, Post, Share, Write and Update Then? by Andy Headworth.  Andy talks through how it’s more than just wanting to share socially, knowing what to share and your target audience is extremely important.

What are YOU reading this week?  Share with me in the comments.  I’m always looking for new writers to follow.
