Trish Steed

Trish Steed is a Co-Founder of H3 HR Advisors and a principal podcast host on the HR Happy Hour Network. She co-hosts At Work in America and the HR Happy Hour Show alongside Steve Boese and is the creator of H3 LIVE.

A former HR executive and HCM product leader with over 20 years of experience in Big 4 public accounting, PR, healthcare, manufacturing, and IT, Trish brings that knowledge to her clients as an analyst and advisor. 

Trish graduated from Webster University with an MA in Human Resource Management, and also holds a BA in Sociology and Minor in Political Science from the University of Missouri.

She’s a working mother who loves writing, doing anything artistic, and volunteering for organizations that help children.

Steve Boese

Steve is a Co-Founder of H3 HR Advisors, a strategy, research, and advisory firm focused on the global HR and workplace technology market. Through H3 HR Advisors, Steve works closely with HR technology providers, business leaders, and industry stakeholders to help them navigate change, sharpen their market positioning, and translate insight into action.

For more than a decade, Steve served as Program Chair and main-stage host of the HR Technology Conference, the world’s largest and most influential gathering of the global HR technology community. In that role, he helped shape the conference’s content and direction, curated hundreds of sessions and speakers, moderated keynotes, and facilitated conversations on the future of work, HR leadership, and technology innovation. That experience continues to inform his perspective on the HR technology ecosystem and the issues that matter most to practitioners, buyers, and solution providers.

Over the course of his career, Steve has created, hosted, and produced more than 1,000 podcasts, interviews, and video programs, making him one of the most prolific independent voices covering HR, work, and workplace technology. He is the creator and co-host of the HR Happy Hour Show, the longest-running and most downloaded podcast in the HR field, which he launched in 2009. He is also the creator of Workplace Minute, a short-form daily audio series with 500+ episodes, delivering concise, practical insights on work and HR technology.

Steve has spoken at major HR and HR technology events around the world, including conferences in North America, Europe, and Asia, and remains deeply engaged in conversations shaping the future of work, AI in the enterprise, and HR technology innovation.

Through H3 HR Advisors, Steve partners with organizations that want clear thinking, informed perspective, and authentic storytelling at the intersection of HR, technology, and business. He welcomes conversations with leaders and teams exploring advisory work, research, content collaboration, or thought leadership initiatives.

Karen Steed

Karen Steed is the Client Experience Director & Learning Analyst of H3 HR Advisors.

Karen works with client teams to promote their organizational needs seamlessly and effectively, through strategy and planning. She is also responsible for the HR Happy Hour Network media production and promotion. Previously, Karen served 15 years as an elementary educator and early childhood administrator. Her focus is on learning solutions that are engaging and practical.

She graduated from Rockford University with a MA in Instructional Strategies and Brain-Based Learning and a BS in Elementary Education from McKendree College. Outside of work, Karen loves her role as a mother of two and enjoys traveling the world.
