This week Trish McFarlane and Steve Boese kicked off the latest evolution of the HR Happy Hour Show, a live streamed video conversation we are calling the “HR Happy Hour Work Break”. The “Work Breaks’ will be short conversations about work, the workplace, and HR technology designed to pop up on your timeline in the middle of a busy workday, and encourage you to take a little break from work – since we all know that the new “work from home” era seems to be translating to the “work even more” era.
On the first show, embedded below, (here’s the direct link in case you can’t view the embed), we talked about some current Coronavirus issues for brands, and how one organization, former HR Happy Hour Show sponsor PeopleStrategy, has launched an innovative and valuable program called the Cancel COVID Challenge in which they will re-purpose hand sanitizer they had purchased for use as event giveaway items and in care packages that will be given to people who are working in essential positions (i.e. UPS/FedEx drivers, healthcare workers, first responders).
